 Am I Eligible?

Project Fresh Start considers students eligible for free school supplies if they fit the guidelines listed below:

  • The student must live in Portage County.For students living outside Portage County, please call United Way's 2-1-1 Connect to get connected with organizations that can help.
  • The student MUST meet the income restrictions listed below. Household income must be at or below 185% of Federal Poverty Guidelines. Project Fresh Start uses the same income elibility guidelines as the Federal Free & Reduced Meal program offered through the school system, but you do not need to be registered for the meal program to utilize Project Fresh Start.

If your children are eligible and want to register them for free school supplies, please complete the registration form and return to the United Way Volunteer Center office (1100 Centerpoint Drive #302, Stevens Point, W 54481) by August 6.
